Functional Yoga & Pilates

This class is a fusion of Yoga and Pilates, based on the teachers kinesiology studies and research. The class will start with Joint Mobility Asana to awaken and prime the body for the workout ahead. Various different protocols will be used to condition the body during the HIIT segment. We will use Power breath during each round and a Chug breath in between rounds to allow the body to recover. Each week we will experience a different class focus, in terms of the exercises involved in the workout and we will be using the pilates soft ball during the conditioning HIIT segment. Expect this class to increase your endurance and strength, as well as improve your coordination and proprioception.

Yoga Flow Sessions

This class is a fusion of Vinyasa Yoga and APPI Pilates, based on the teachers kinesiology studies and research. The class will start with Joint Mobility Asana to awaken and prime the body for the workout ahead. We will condition the body with sun salutation variations, focusing on closed and open hip exercises, as well as balance and hamstrings. This is followed by a Pilates flow sequence that focuses on the core and arm endurance. Eventually with practice, the client will achieve a Flow State. This state is achieved once the client acquaints themselves well and becomes confident with the exercises, thus becoming able to immerse themselves fully in the present moment of the practice. The class ends with a brief relaxation segment. Expect this class to increase your mobility and flexibility, and will nourish your life force within.
